So, I have to be honest, I
have not been able to find my words when it comes to blogging. It’s not that I
don’t have anything to say, but there is just so much going on that I’m on
sensory overload.

Cambodia is a beautiful
country. The minute I stepped foot in Phnom Penh I felt at peace. There was no
sense of “What am I doing?” or “I made a mistake”, it just felt right. I felt
at home and I thank God for that.

God has so quickly placed a
love in my heart for the people here. There has been so much brokenness, destruction, death and evil here, but God is bringing hope, restoration, love
and peace! God is bringing a wind of change to this place and I am so blessed
to be a part of that.

I love the song Give Me Your
Eyes by Brandon Heath and I feel that God is helping me to see the people of
Cambodia the way He sees them. Everyone from my teammates to the people walking
the streets – I see worth and value, I see the good in broken things. The world
around us may be perverted, but God brings restoration.

My favorite part of our first
week on the field was Tuesday when we prophesied life and words of
encouragement over members of our team. What a powerful time for the girls of
Arise60. I felt it was a time where God really knit our hearts together. I am
so excited to see how God is going to use us. I am pumped about being in
community and doing life with my team. We are representatives of the Creator of
the Universe and are on a stretching journey of growth, as well.

I still cannot believe I am on the other side of the world, but regardless of where I am physically, I know I am wrapped in the arms of the Father and that is just where I want to be.
