About Me

So, my name is Carolyn [though most of my friends call me Caro] and I am 25 years old. I am a Jersey girl born and raised, so I have a tendency to speak my mind, but over the years have learned to do so in a loving way that urges others to grow in their walk with Christ. Sometimes I think that makes people uncomfortable, but one thing God has been teaching me is that there is no growth in complacency! As Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” – I’m looking forward to being surrounded by like-minded people where we can grow and learn together!

My parents and I are very close, which is a good thing, considering we live and work together! It wasn’t always easy, but it has proven to be an instrumental tool in the growth of our family in more ways than one. We’ve had our fair share of trials outside of learning to work together too, some of which we kicked and screamed our way through, but God is faithful! I consider both of my parents to be my closest of friends and am so blessed by the God-glorifying relationship we share.

I was raised in a christian home all of my life, though for the longest time I was just going through the motions and living pretty selfishly. It’s only been the past several years that I’ve truly matured in my relationship with God and changed my mindset. It’s not all about me [surprise! surprise!], it’s all about Him! I know that walking with God is not always comfortable and that it means sacrifice, change and being set apart, but I view living pure and righteous before God as an honor now, because all the other stuff is only temporary.

Some fun, random facts:

• I have a tendency to be a little clumsy and if you’re around me for any length of time, you will probably hear me saying “Ouch!” or “Don’t worry, I’m fine!”
• I love photography, reading and naps.
• Sometimes I like getting in my car and going for a drive – I may end up singing [loud and off-key] or praying, but it helps to clear my head.
• I have an undeniable love for animals and all of our current critters have been rescued in some way, shape or form. They are all incredibly unique in their mannerisms!
• I’ve been doing a lot of baking lately and so far my track record is pretty yummy 🙂
• I am a spelling/grammar nerd. I also text in complete sentences.
• I am not fond of spiders and if they are too big, I can’t even kill them.
• I love love love ketchup. It’s the only condiment I’ll use!
• I also have an obsession with Sour Patch Kids. If they are near me I *have* to eat them!
• I graduated from the same community college that Kelly Ripa attended [/random].
• I love Burt’s Bees chapstick, in fact, I think my lips are addicted.
• Me and high heels are not friends [refer to the first one where I am clumsy].
• I love coffee, especially Starbucks!
• If I’m at home, I can’t sleep without my fan. This usually isn’t a problem unless the electricity goes out.
