At the end of our month in Thailand, we had the opportunity to visit Mae Ai; a village about 4 hours north of Chiang Mai. The countryside, people and lifestyle are absolutely beautiful!
The three days we spent there were a much needed retreat from the busy, tourist-packed streets of Chiang Mai and bar ministry.
The food was different but delicious, the weather was gorgeous, and our families were so loving and welcoming. We went to work with our “Mom,” Mae Jang, and the other ladies from the village. As the men cleared the land, the ladies cleaned a monk’s house and washed a lot of dishes!
We spent a lot of time in prayer over the village and loving on all the people we met. Even though it was a short visit, it was such a blessing to stay with our wonderful host families and enjoy the simple village life.
