Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this letter finds you well! I’m excited to write to you and tell you about an exciting new opportunity in my life. Over the last several months, the plans I had made for my future have radically changed. My goals of graduating college, working as an Interior Designer and living in Dallas have all been accomplished, but I knew in my heart that this was not the plan God had for me. Through much prayer and consideration, I have decided to leave my life in Dallas behind me and spend the better part of a year working in the Christian missions field.
I will serve through an organization called Adventures in Missions in their World Race program. I will travel to 11 countries in 11 months including China, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, India, Nepal, Ukraine and Romania. My team and I will partner with local churches and ministries to serve in orphanages, plant churches, minister to women and children that have been victims of human trafficking, and share the hope of the Gospel.
Throughout the year, I will abandon the comfortable life that I have now, to live with, serve and give hope to those who have none. I’m sure the lessons that I learn along the way will be immeasurable, but more importantly I will have the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself. I yearn to share God’s love with those who don’t know it.
I am beyond grateful to be taking part in this trip, and pray that the Lord will continue to make this possible through the help of others. I humbly ask for your prayers, encouragement and financial support. I must raise $15,000 in order to go for the year, which covers all my expenses on the field. Financial support can be given as a one-time gift, or as a monthly donation where can you choose the beginning and end date. Every prayer, word of encouragement or dollar given will be a blessing.
When I first heard about this program years ago, I thought to myself “I could never do that.” I had so many plans, so many goals, but what I have come to realize is that the best plan for me, was not my plan at all.
May The Lord Bless You Always!
