Hey y’all! My name is Caroline Rouse, and I’m 19 years old. I’ve finished my first year of college, and I am currently a counselor at a summer church day camp! I am from Greenville, South Carolina, and I have a 17 year old sister named Lizzie. I also have the best dog in the whole wide world- a yellow lab named Haus! I love sports, working with children, my dog Haus, and my family.
I feel like God wants me to pursue a career in the teaching field and missions. My mom is a teacher, and she has shown me that the classroom is a mission field. I always find myself drawn to the kids that are struggling. I have already had many opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these little ones.
I feel like God has called me to this Gap year for many reasons. I need to learn to trust Him more, and this trip is all about trusting Him and getting out of my comfort zone. I want to figure out what God wants me to do with my life. I feel that He wants to use this trip to show me the many needs of children around the world. I’m looking forward to getting to know my squad and serving with them. I am beyond excited to share Jesus with as many people as I can because JESUS IS AWESOME!
