I am seeing many photos from my team as they are enjoying Vietnam.  They are working with a Christian School (I think) teaching English.

As they are there, I am here in Korea making the most of my Month 11.  I have been able to be filled up by Friday and Sunday services at my church as well as getting to meet with old friends one-on-one.  I have also had the chance to pour into an old co-teacher and a couple students from my old school.  I prepped one of them for an English interview for an Australian Internship.  I am praying that she gets it so that she can have the chance to meet more Christians in AU.  I could even direct her to our Sydney Church plant.

Yesterday I took the KTX (Korean Bullet Train) up to Seoul for my old small-group leader’s wedding.  It was beautiful!  I just felt the joy of the Lord when they were presented to us as husband and wife.  WOW!

I did do a faux-pas though; I didn’t remember that you don’t actually give gifts at Korean weddings, so I felt a little awkward with my little wrapped present in hand…haha.  But at least I know that no one else got them the same thing I did.  and mine’s from Thailand.  🙂

Also it was a joy to see our pastor’s hit the dance floor.  Our church has moves!  After the reception I took a walk to a coffee shop so that I could find a jimjilbang (a spa that lets you sleep on the floor) for the night.  We were in Gangnam so I was afraid that hotels would be far too expensive.

I came across “Gold Spa” which was near (Gangnam exit 5, go straight 5 mins to Siamdang-ro, which is the first 4 way intersection, turn right walk 8 mins and it will be on the right…in Hangul but there is a yellow balloon outside).  It was not a nice jimjilbang but for about $10USD I got a safe and clean place to sleep and a shower.

Today I am resting in a coffee shop on Insadong St., a traditional market area, until my train leaves in the afternoon.  It’s been a good little trip to Seoul, but I miss my soft bed in my borrowed apt in Busan and my little borrowed puppy too.  I’ll be back soon.

ONE THING I AM SO THANKFUL FOR is that you all, my donors and prayer partners, have been so faithful.  THANK YOU!  Even now that my “ministry” is finished, you are helping me pay the debt from my missionary journey.  Also your prayers are still covering me as I minister to my old co-teacher and try to be a light to all I meet.  I still do covet your prayers as I go into my field study in these coming weeks.  I don’t really know the group dynamic I will see, but environmental science isn’t a field full of believers…so I would love to have the boldness and discernment that comes when sharing His love with them.
