Being faithful, in the general sense, means that you are loyal in your belief of something or someone.
Being faithful, in Christ, means that you are loyal in your belief to God.
Belief is when you accept something as truth.
There are three steps to being faithful, three steps to
KEEP ON BELIEVING:
1. HOPE WHEN THINGS ARE HOPELESS
Being hopeful, in the general sense, means that you are confident that what you want will happen.
Being hopeful, in Christ, means that you are confident that what He wants for you will happen.
Confidence is when you believe or are assured in yourself or another.
(ARE YOU SEEING THE PATTERN HERE?)
People stop believing that the blessings are coming when they have lost hope. When you find yourself in a hopeless situation, remember your belief in Christ and how He died on the cross for our sins. Be hopeful in your belief and believe that there is still hope!
2. IGNORE DOUBTFUL PEOPLE
Ignoring means you do not pay attention to someone or something.
Doubt means you have uncertainty about someone or something.
People are uncertain about God and they doubt because they are ignorant. When you find yourself in a situation with a nonbeliever, do not let them bring you down. Instead, educate them and pray for them but ignore their ignorance!
(THIS IS WHERE IT ALL TIES IN! WE ARE BACK TO THE FIRST WORD!)
3. SPEAK BY FAITH
Speak to others about your loyalty to our Heavenly Father.
Speak to others of your acceptance in the Holy Spirit.
Speak to others about your assurance in His plans for you.
(BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!)
Now what about obedience?
Being obedient, in the general sense, means that you follow instructions and comply with rules/regulations.
Being obedient, in Christ, means that you follow the message God has given you.
If you continue to have faith in God and you continue to believe in Him, you are being obedient.
If you continue to have belief in God and you continue to be hopeful in Him, you are being obedient.
If you continue to have hope in God and you continue to be confident in Him, you are being obedient.
FAITHFUL OBEDIENCE
being loyal to God in following His word and His message
OBEDIENTLY FAITHFUL
loyally following His word and His message
It is all one in the same, as long as you KEEP THE DOUBT OUT AND KEEP ON BELIEVING!
