Dear Loved Ones,
I wanted to write this letter to introduce you to a new chapter in my life of which I hope you will be a part of. In the last year I felt very misguided, as if my life were at a halt and I wasn’t going to get any of the things that I wanted or had worked for but when I finally turned to God he showed me Matthew 10:39 which says “if you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.” I have been called to give up my life for His Kingdom and to find my life through Him. I have been called to a mission, a mission which I am delighted to share with you!
I will be serving as a missionary through an organization, Adventures in Missions, in a program called The World Race. The World Race is an 11 month Christian faith mission trip to 11 countries across our nations in which my assigned team and I will be serving in partnership with various ministries to the local communities in the countries that we will be visiting. We will encounter overwhelming moments of community, ministry, worship and self-discovery through the hands of our Lord. Our goal is to spread the good word of His Kingdom by restoring the hope of our Fathers love through ministry, the Gospel, prayer and by planting His love in the hearts of orphaned children, women trapped in prostitution and those who seek just a little guidance and love. I pray that through this mission and with your support, I can bloom into the woman that God has always intended me to be.
Although some of my deadlines seem close to impossible, I have full faith and confidence that “I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength” Philippians 4:13. Of course, I have to be proactive! My prayer is that this letter reaches you well and that you may consider joining me in this mission through the power of prayer and the benefits in finance. In total, I have to raise $16,285.00 which will cover all of my expenses on the field including air/ground travel, sleeping/home arrangements, food/supplies, even international health insurance. Financially, this support can be given as a one-time gift or a monthly donation in which you may choose the amount and the starting/end date.
If only 28 of the 100 family and friends I have sent this letter to donate $50.00 monthly for the next 12 months, I will meet my financial deadline with a breeze! I am thrilled to be able to share this experience with all of my friends and family. I pray that I will touch the lives of God’s children across our nations through this ministry in the year to come.
