Today I began my list of 100 to send my fundraising letter to and it’s a lot harder than I thought!
I started to feel like a broken record sending the same message to all my friends and family on Facebook or over text message, I almost began to feel discouraged because I wasn’t getting a response from anyone.
Then my computer started going nuts!
DING! DING! DING!
I couldn’t keep up with sent messages and received messages, it got absolutely insane!
I was trying to message back everyone that had messaged me back, all while scribbling down the addresses and continuing to write new messages!
And then, a message from a very dear friend popped up. It read:
“I just want to say that I am so happy and excited for you. Ever since you told me at T.G.I. Friday’s about all this and how you have decided to trust God. I have had this overwhelming joy in my heart and I haven’t been able to think of the proper words to express myself. I think back at all the times we had convos about God and to see you in this place today is just amazing. You have rekindled my faith and touched my life without even knowing it. When God opens doors, no one can shut them. And you are right, this is just the beginning. You are gonna touch and change so many peoples lives. I always knew you would do great things for God, and you are on your way already. You have an amazing mind blowing future ahead of you.”
This touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes.
The DING! faded to background noise and I began to read what everyone was writing.
“Very happy and proud of you for doing this. I miss your gorgeous face!”
“I’d love to help out!”
“I saw what you’re doing and that’s amazing! I’m so happy for you!”
“Good luck!”
Immediately, the power of God rushed through me from head to toe. From mind to heart.
And I was encouraged!
This can definitely be hard and overwhelming sometimes, it seems so far away. But never forget why you’re doing this, where you will be going and exactly how you will impact this world with your faith and His love.
Never forget and trust in Him that everything will work out as planned.
