malaysia was easily one of my favorite months here on the race, due to our absolutely amazing contacts. we stayed with a ministry that serves as a church as well as a music school. outreaches included visiting orphanages, teaching weekly english classes and praying for the community. here is what it all looked like through my eyes:
at the orphanage
this little boy is six year old, though he looks much younger. he had a blood transfusion a couple of years ago, which his body reacted to severely. he is constantly itching himself 24/7 and has scabs and scratches all over his body. please keep him in your prayers!
this girl is amazing! she was easily very lovable and incredibly smart. she tried so hard in her studies when we were teaching english and wanted to learn. she is here at the orphanage with her younger brother and older sister. he father killed her mother not long ago, but you would never know her tragic past judging from her sweet and joyful spirit.
