Cut the strings and let me go — I’m weightless.  I’m weightless.

They say that the country of India changes every 100 km that you travel.

I believe it.  My perceptions of this place changed about every 100 steps that I took.

What it comes down to, though, is that this World Race is a journey of hope.  The people in this country need light and love and they need to be set free — and my team and I have the keys to freedom living inside of us.  So even though in some ways this was my hardest month of the Race yet, it was also a month of rich, rich promises.

Sometimes promises look like miracles.

Sometimes they look like a guitar.

Sometimes they look like an impossibly tiny street girl without pants who runs up and throws her arms around your legs.

Sometimes they look like ridiculous songs in the middle of an orphanage.

Sometimes they look like a grown woman climbing up a slide with five kids hanging off of her or a “magic trick” at a school for children with special needs or fireworks at midnight on Christmas.

I walk away from this month with a brand new understanding of the fact that the sky is the limit — but even that doesn’t quite cover the hope and freedom that we have in Jesus.  Even that doesn’t communicate the goodness of His promises to us.

I’m not going to sugarcoat anything: I’m ready to get out of here.  I’m more ready to leave this country than any other before it.  BUT God showed up in big ways this month, just like I prayed that He would.  And He showed me a piece of His vastness, just like I prayed that He would.

So cut the strings.  And let’s go.  Because this journey of hope is heading to AFRICA!!
