My team as well as Team Exodus (Janell, Leslie, Sarah, Carmen) are spending our month about 7 hours from Hyderabad working with India Christian Ministries (ICM)

(‘Cummon Chris’…why didn’t you get in this picture? ‘Cummon guys’!)

While in Hyderabad we had our month 8 debrief which included an amazing reunion with our coaches (Gary and Joey) and original squad leaders (Tim and Di), much needed times of worship and encouragement, as well as a pretty legit Easter egg hunt and a few henna tattoos. Here are a few of my fav’ pics from debrief:

Had an amazing time catch up with other friends on the squad and old teammates- we had S.E.E.D.S reunion lunch for Ryan’s Birthday!

SO SO happy to see Tim and Di again after 4 months away!

Bonnie, Joey, and I decided to get ourselves some real Indian Henna (at the grocery store for only $1!)

After a fantastic debrief, we were all pretty exhausted from all the excitement to be honest but we were looking forward to ministry in India so we got on another all night bus to Ongole. Much to our incredible surprise it was a sleeper bus which included bottled water, beds, blankets, and PILLOWS! (God knew someone in Nepal needed a pillow and fleece jacket because I accidentally left mine on a random bus during our travels last month)

Anyway, upon arriving in the city of Ongole we were told we would working at a children’s home in the
area which was created for orphans with special needs.

Turns out we are going to be volunteering
there Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. (Please check out the ICM website for more info on Sarah’s
Covenant Homes (SCH) where we are ministering this month!) Wednesdays
are our days off which is why I’m finally able to update all of you at
home with some new blog posts! (Get excited more are coming) Thursdays
we are spending time with another missionary couple who oversee several
children’s homes all over this area in India, they have a huge need for
painting in 4 of their homes so they bought paint yesterday and we are
very excited to jump into painting tomorrow!

God is so good to us its really hard to comprehend sometimes. We came into this month fully expecting to be tenting in the hottest month of India’s year, with no running water, and we arrived to find an apartment waiting for us complete with our own kitchen, refrigerator, western toilet bathroom with shower, and A/C in our bedrooms! Sometimes I feel like I’m being totally spoiled but its so incredible to see how God is filling us every day to be emptied completely as we go out into ministry. God knew we were tired and He knew what He’d be calling us into this month and I’m just so thankful for His goodness and His perfect plan for each of our teams!

Please keep our ministry in your prayers this month as we fight homesickness as well as exhaustion from the nature of our ministry. Pray for supernatural strength, love, and joy to overflow from our teams and fill all of the ministries we encounter this month!
