This verse was posted by one of my teammates on our team blog the other day and it’s been a huge encouragement and reminder of how I want to live every day…not worrying about past failure and tragedy but instead keeping my eyes on what lies ahead…the Goal…following Christ with everything I am!
Philippians 3:12-14 (ESV)
“Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” I can’t believe that training is in a WEEK, I’m thrilled and terrified all at once! Please be in prayer for my drive down to Atlanta on Saturday (July 24th) and for the next week as our teams meet and encounter God is BIG ways as we prepare to go out in the field soon! I will be traveling to training camp-then driving my car down to Florida to see my brother and give him my car for the year- then I’ll be spend a few days @ the beach w/ him and flying back to Ohio for the month of August….
Blessings report: God is seriously overwhelming me with His blessings. I am roughly at $10,000 of my $14,300 goal for fundraising…HALLELUJAH!!! Please keep praying as I continue to spread the word about what God’s doing and sell Threads of Hope bracelets!
