I leave for Romania in less than a week.
Holy crap.
I feel like my mind has yet to catch up with whats happening. I just moved home after spending the past four years at school in San Luis Obispo, a season so full of redemption, transformation, and the relentless pursuit of a loving Father. I’ve been so blessed to live in a such a sweet community of amazing people. Each one of them a radiant display of His character. I’m humbled by how they love. I’m inspired by how they live. I cant help but be overwhelmed with thanksgiving at how they have influenced my life in such divine ways.
My roomies…
My fellow Social Scientists who are going to change the world…
And its crazy to think I’m not living with them anymore.
So now I’m back at home in LA, days away from embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. Attempting to pack 11 months into one backpack (thats an adventure in itself let me tell ya). It all feels so surreal yet I’m so excited. I probably won’t know what I’m doing 98% of the time, but He does, and thats all that matters anyways. It will be a hard year, but an incredible one. A year marked by the kingdom of heaven thats invading this earth. A year to love and be loved, through trials and triumphs, heartache and healing. A year to see God work in ways I’ve never seen before. And to be a part of it.
I’m humbled by the opportunity of this journey. And my prayer is to savor every day as the gift of life that it is. A gift to live out the unconditional love He has for me. To change and be changed. To be a part of something so much greater than myself.
And I would like to say thank you. Thank you from the depths of my heart to those who have supported and encouraged me. Thank you for loving and caring for me so well in this process. Thank you for letting the Lord use you in preparing me for this adventure that awaits.
Lastly, please know that I would love updates from back home. So feel free to email me ([email protected]) or hit me up on good ‘ol Facebook. Let me know how I can be praying for you because, at the end of the day, we’re all in this thing called life together, each one of us a missionary striving to live out the Gospel wherever the Lord has called us, ya know what I mean?
Just to keep things flashy, here’s a pic of my family. Why yes, they are in fact as awesome as they look.
Well, thats all for now my friends. Keep livin’ the dream!
