This has been such an incredible journey getting to this point. I can remember when I first glanced on the World Race website and looked at the price to do this and God replied saying “I’ll Take Care Of It.” I took the leap of faith and did it. I came against all odds to launch. In the last weeks leading up to launching for the Race God provided over $6000 dollars for me to launch and go to my first country, China. It actually pushed me $1000 over my deadline. It really took a lot of faith to pray through that rough patch of feeling like I might have to divert to launching later.

I then had four months to raise the rest of the money. Well if God could provide that much in a couple weeks then yeah I knew he’d be able to take care of it on the race too.

It was incredible to see how many people came alongside me to help raise the money and be on this journey. From Beach Volleyball tournaments, to Open mic nights, to bake sales, to countless emails, and social media promoting , and huge anonymous donations. God came through like He always does. So many people partnered with me to make this happen. People I least expected to people I hardly even knew. God worked far and wide to show more an more how much He loved me. People invested into my calling thus putting me into a journey that forever changed me.

In China I got to work at a Christian foster home for orphans with disabilities. We worked with the staff tutoring kids, working in the nursery, cleaning up the facility, and organizing worship times for all the internationals there.

In Mongolia we did street evangelism and taught English classes. We hosted church on Sundays at our host home and developed relationships with people who had given their life to God. Two people who had given their lives to God ended up getting baptized in our bathtubs while we were there.

In Japan we partnered with a missionary family who have lived in Japan for over 25 years. They have ministered and shared the Gospel with many groups they have invested over the years and we assisted by helping to teach English, participate in community events, share testimonies, and invest our time into deep relationships.

In Nepal we helped build a YWAM missionary base for a week, The following week we hiked up and down the Himalayas shared the Good News and caroling from village to village with victims from the earthquake devastation. The last week we worked with slum kids and earthquake victims to give gifts and share the story of Jesus to the very less fortunate.

In that last month in Nepal I still needed about $4000 to raised by the end of the month to continue on the journey. I was getting anxious about it and even fumbled around with my faith. I continued to pray and seek God throughout those weeks. Days before the deadline crazy donations came in by the hundreds and thousands. On the last day I needed $62 and one of my teammates turns to me and asked “How does it feel to be fully funded?” (She had just paid the last amount) I jumped out of seat trembling because God had made a way hours before my deadline. Always on time.

God helped me raise $16,276 for the World Race. For someone who has consistently struggled financially growing up this spoke a multitude to not just me and my family. My faith has been shaken. God made a way. I’m doing this. I’m traveling the world to 11 countries and pursing my calling. I have finished four countries and God has already done so much. I now have seven months left, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, The Philippines, and Indonesia. Wow what a journey ahead.

So What’s Next?

Its now the year 2016 and so many new things are ahead.

I have a new team! We did team changes for the first time on the race. I have five new members and a new name. My teammates are Cam(Team Leader aka Captain Cam), Dustin, Shelby, Lo, and Niki. We are now called Team Lumineers! I will spend the next four months with this group.

A new country! Month 5 is taking place in India. My visa has been approved and we will be flying into Hyderabad on the 3rd. Not sure what we will be doing ministry wise do stay tuned.

New Climate! The past four countries have been fairly cold but we are heading more south going to India and then entering into southeast Asia which is fairly tropical. So that means hot weather from here on out. That means no A/C, sweating, beaches, bugs, me getting a tan. (Prayers welcomed!)

Many new things ahead but I still type all this completely grateful for a God who never fails. Don’t put God in a box with Him the possibilities are endless. You can pursue your most wildest of dreams and bring them to reality. Just look at my story. Thank you all for all the support and continue to pray with me till the end!

Anyone wanting to support in any extra funds for me to have while racing like personal money, or purchasing gifts while on the race feel free to message me on Facebook or email me at [email protected]

Stay tuned and Stay Blessed!

Love you all!
