You know it is so easy when you come on a mission trip to be visualizing what you will do and who you will work with and how it will look. For me I was thinking I am going to work with children and with the women who are sold as ugly. Then just as easy as that is for me to visualize God says child I have other plans.ha he has a mind of his own.
Of course not caring if I think I am ready for what he has…after all he made the plans without me before I was even thought of. As far as working with children; I have seen a few, loved a few but that has not been my focus. Then I was geared up to minister to the women sold as ugly in Thailand; we will be and have been sharing time with Lady boys……did I mention I love them so much.
Let me tell you about LadyBoys; they all are men that have been surgically altered and portray themselves as women and for all intensive purposes live and sell themselves as women. These are men that have gotten lost along the way just like we get lost along the way sometimes. Sometimes they have been emotionally or physically abused as children and to the extreme. Now more than anything they just look for love and acceptance wherever and however they can get it.
Just because the Ladyboys were not in my plans he knew my heart would love them and I do. We have a bar full of ladyboys right accross the way from our ministry. Everyday I pray for them, smile at them, and just love them. We had a ladyboy join us last week for worship; the leader says she is a Christian now but still works in the bars some nights because she (they like to be called) just really does not have any other options.
Pray for God to change your plans like he did mine
Pray for the ladyboys to have opportunities outside of the bars
Pray the peace of Jesus will flood them
We are headed to Bangkok this week to focus on working with a group of Ladyboys…I love it when God changes my plans and trades them in for his !
