I must tell you that Cambodia has been quite an adventure so far…..

It is hard to believe that almost a month has past already since I left Wyoming for Cambodia.

Here they keep the majority of their car gasoline in soda pop bottles, have dead chickens hanging from their mopeds, get awakened by the sound of the dragon dance with drums at 5:30AM, see roasted ducks and grilled bananas for sale on the street corners, have to watch where you walk in the market place in case a live fish has hopped out of its basket, see people praying to monks with orange robes and yellow umbrellas being prayed to on the way into ministry, see Sattelite dishes on some of the most run down shacks you could ever imagine, there is a moped repair shop on almost every block and crossing the street is a extreme sport as is a tuk- tuk ride, a cart attached to the back of a motorcycle.

Cambodia is also home to some of the most wonderful people I have met; they wave as you ride down the streets and the children blow you kisses, for the ones who speak English it makes their whole day if you compliment them, the girls we work with are happy to get to color and play Hot Potato (by the way most are 16 plus), the people who are here that have organizations and NGO’S really have a passion for this place and its people, the people who live here are happy to see you and tell you so. The people here are real, they work hard, and they want to make you happy and don’t offer themselves much grace if they don’t.

I will give you all an update before I leave Cambodia next week on the great things that have transpired here including the people we have met, the people who have met us, and about some of our adventures and victories.

Please pray for our remaining week of ministry including final touches with the song, vocals, and music . Pray for our team / squad to remain in great health, pray that the seeds that were planted here will bloom and bear fruit, and please pray that God prepares the hearts in Thailand before we arrive.

Love, Carla
