I was sharing with some friends today about the upcoming Missions Trip. They asked how it is coming together…well I tell you that is always my favorite part how it comes together.

When God told me I was going to go to Haiti in 2008 I had no job, 74 cents in my bank account, and $1300 to raise in 4 months. God did it…he provided a temporary job that was ok with me going and hired me full time when I came back and gave me health benefits. He brought hoards of people to buy unwanted treasures at a yard sale in the pouring rain; I still remember someone paying $25.00 for a stuffed animal. This trip was 12 days

The last trip to Asia posed a different set of circumstances; God called me to go and I knew it but this time there was only 6 weeks from the time he called me to lift off and I had a job, oh and not to mention this trip was almost 3 times as much…4,300.  A good friend bought the airline ticket, work let me have the time off, a donor who wished to stay in the shadows pay my rent for a month and money even came for food before I left and for after I came home. The first monetary donation came from a private investigator friend in California who I had not talked to in almost 2 years and he had knowledge of the plight of the people i was going to minister to. This trip was 18 days

This trip the master weaver is at it again putting all the details for a 5 month trip together in 4 months. Where will I live, will I move, where will I work when I get home, when will I quit the job I have…etc. I have learned this time to let the Master Weaver Jesus Christ work it out. Not that I am just sitting back and watching by any means….I am finding that when you don’t get attached to a particular way of doing things, a particular donor, or a particular outcome …that is when God can take what you are releasing from your hand and multiply it. This trip is $7300 and 5 months long..I have been offered job opportunities for when I arrive home, turns out a lady I knew from LA now lives here in WY 1 Block away from me and she wants to help me with a grant for the trip. This and 50 other just as strange and amazing things have happened…I am not attached to any of them but i am sure excited to see how God puts this Tapestry together.
