As I boarded the plane headed for Georgia I didn’t know what to expect. The only thing I could be certain of was that I am a city girl and I was about to be thrust into the world of camping with 50+ strangers. So here I am 10+ days later looking back at the training camp experience and I can acknowledge several things.

1. In order to fully embrace others as part of the body of Christ sometimes you will be called to step out of your comfort zone.

2. After several days without caffeine we become a bit creative

3. Having company over takes on a whole new meaning when your house is a tent

4. Although the world tells us we can do it by ourselves the journey is sooo much sweeter when its done in community.

To sum it up the training camp experience set the tone for the rest of the race. There was an atmosphere of worship and praise. This allowed God to move freely, to heal and to set free. My desire to be used by him over the next 11 months has increased dramatically. As I witnessed God’s presence and comfort through tears and laughter I was reminded of how He sees me. I was reminded of His continual love for me. I am honored that He would trust me with the task of sharing his message to others in the world.

Thank you to every person that has donated and helped to get me to training camp. Please continue to keep me in prayer as I prepare to start the race. Also would you please share my blog with someone today.

To give financial support please click the ‘donate’ tab. My next deadline is December 13, 2016 and every bit helps me to reach my goal.

Resting in Him,
