One thing in life that you can always be sure of is that things won't happen as quickly as you would like them to. Hurry up and wait is such a perfect representation of the fact that we are always rushing to get somewhere or do something but it doesn't always happen then. On Wednesday I flew to Atlanta, GA for something called launch. This is our last minute training and bonding with our team before we actually hit the field. In launch we go through safety, health and leadership training to be best prepared for the race.

I love being back with my squad and even more specifically my team. Being around them gives life, they are such an awesome group of believers. Their hearts are beautiful and their love for God is astounding. I am encouraged and challenged by them daily already. My team is a group of 6 girls that are different but all together similar.

I am excited to announce that we will be officially leaving the United States on Sunday July 7th at 1:45pm. We will be flying out of Atlanta, GA to Chiang Mai, Thailand. This is our first destination and I couldn't be more excited. Thailand is such a great place and I can't wait to go back. I have been to Thailand before with my college ministry my freshman year for a month and we worked in Burma with refugees. This time I will be working with some amazing ministries that partner with Adventures in Missions! I am seriously so excited! Just a few hours left in the United States!
