Okay so here is the story.  The race officially begun when the bus left 30 World Racers standing in the middle of downtown Matamoros , MX.  It was a race to the taxi´s to get to the bus station when we received a free ride from Fave.  We crammed all six of us plus our 2 bags each into her explorer.  We spent the next 30 hours on a series of buses and ended in  Palenque where 30 or so racers shared three rooms in a hotel.  The shower was nice!!!!
Our team met at 6:30 in the morning to take off on our 3 mile walk to the Mayan Ruins.  When we got passed by another team in a taxi we quickly hitched a ride.
Our team is so fortunate for Amanda and her Spanish skills that we were the first ones to the ticket booth before it opened. She took care of the details while we got our running feet ready.  By the  time the park opened, all the teams, both A and B had arrived and it was a foot race from the gate.  The idea was that we had to climb the highest temple then finish at the Temple De La Cruz.  The front entrance to the ¨Temple of Inscriptions¨, the highest temple was closed so our team quickly ran up the back side to find a no entrance sign as well.  No worries though, we were still the first A  team to the top of the finishing point.  The official results of the winning team will be in later.

It was absolutely breathtaking to be standing on top of the temples.  It felt like I was in the photographs I have spent so many years dreaming about.  We also had chance to go and do some exploring on our own time and that was a lot of fun!

This afternoon we will take off for the Bible College where will be reside for at least the next week and finish up training.  During this training, we will also be participating in ministry.
It has been so much fun traveling and sightseeing, but now I´m really excited to see God move in the people through us. I must mention though, there have been a great amount of testimonies that God has been traveling with us!
This has been an amazing adventure and I am loving almost every minute of it. Except for the intense heat and humidity.  That’s just one more thing I will have to adapt to.
Thanks for all of your love and prayers!
