Sometimes when God speaks it can be hard to hear Him or so I thought. As it turns out He can be speaking load and clear and I twist it into being my own good idea/thought or push it off entirely because God doesn't speak to me. Well at training camp He proved me wrong!
At the beginning of training camp I was trying to go in with an open mind and a willingness to learn. The night where we talked about the Holy Spirit and the different ways He can come I found out how stubborn I can be once again. Throughout the course of this night God and I got into a fight because I wanted Him to come in and EMPOWER me for the journey. My idea of this was for Him knock me over and show me without a shadow of doubt that He was there but the Holy Spirit had other plans. I ended up so frustrated and angry that I walked for and hour and a half after we were dismissed.I took a book with me and wrote down everything thought that came to mind. The last thing that I thought of which brought me peace so I was able to go to bed was the words from All In All " Though the sorrow may last for the night his JOY comes in the morning".
The next day I was much more at easy. Hanna at one point in the morning when waiting to go in for breakfast came up to me and said Candace I love that JOY flows out of you all the time. Four other people through out the day came up and said the exact same thing. Well when God says the JOY comes in the morning apparently He meant it.
To add to this later that evening we had a session on listening of God and no matter how craz
y it sounds just saying was comes to mind. I was standing next to Samantha ( I had not had a chance to have any long conversations with her up to this point in training camp) and when I placed my hand on her shoulder the song All in All started to play over and over in my head again so I started to speak the words out load She later told me that All in All had been her mantra for her fundraising and she found out earlier that day that she was fully funded for the World Race.
When it swapped around and she put her hand on my shoulder she said to me that the words "He is going to empower you – He will fill you with His power"
After this we then got into 2 circles and prayed for some one with our eyes closed so we did not know who we were praying for. When Jenna was praying for me and did not know it she said you are going to move mountains I see you leading a whole group f people up a mountain and there is only sunshine at the top.

So what did I learn from this
-Listen up He is talking
Pay attention and He will provide the encouragement to be patient.
– If you let Him He will spread Joy and Love through you with out you even really knowing it.
– That I have teammates that I am going to be living with that God has used to with continue to use to help me grow closer to Him. (Hanna Samantha and Jenna and all on my team along with two other lovely Ladies Hanna and Kaitlin) Together we make Team Xuberant Joy ( 1 Thes. 5:13-18)
