To interrupt from my normal style of blogging, It’s time for an update!!!
Good news! I’M FULLY FUNDED! Thank you so much to everyone who supported me on this journey. Your faithful giving has been such a blessing to me and I really, as cliche as it may sound, would not be able to stay on the Race without you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you
For the last 2 and half weeks, we have been in Mozambique working with a ministry called Beacon of Hope. Our contact, Angie, started up this discipleship school for teenage boys. The boys come here to here to live in community, and learn to walk in intimacy with Jesus. They stay for about three years and in that time are built into such amazing men of God. The love of christ is seeping out of every part of their lives. They really amaze me.
They have taught me way more than I could ever teach them.
So my days are busy and wonderful and they end with feedback.
In case you are not familiar with feedback, this is when my team and I sit in a circle and tell each other all the things we love about each other. And then the things that can be improved upon.
For example: Candace, I’m really seeing a lot of growth in you in (area of spiritual maturity) , but today I noticed that you did this (act of spiritual immaturity) and I want to encourage you to (spiritual challenge) because I know that you are (life bringing encouraging words – spiritual truth) and I want you to walk it that. I’m proud of you for (act of spiritual maturity). And I, like, just love you so much. Your awesome.
It looks somewhat like that. It can easily be the best and most challenging part of my day. But I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I will do whatever it takes to make me be more like Christ.
All in all, I love mozambique.
I love the World Race.
And everyday I’m falling a little more in love with Jesus.
So I’m pretty happy.
