Today, I’m 20. I spent a long time thinking about how I would feel the day I turned twenty. I keep playing this magical scenario in my head where everywhere I go people just know it’s my birthday. My 20th birthday. Strangers stop, look me deep in the eyes, give me a big hug (some hot studs even pick me up and spin me around) and they finally say. “Congrats, beautiful, you made it to twenty.”

That hasn’t happened yet…. Weird.

In fact, The first part of my day consisted of my blaring arcade fire and dancing around my room, and then reading "the giver." Clearly my dreams are similar to reality….

And then I wrote this…. twenty things you probably would never would know about me if you didn’t read this blog. Get excited. (Sorry this is selfish. I will get over myself… tomorrow)

  1. I have glow in the dark stars on my ceiling.
  2. I get lost more than anyone I know.
  3. I love to swim so much that people often refer to me as a mermaid.
  4. I’m left handed, but I play sports right handed.
  5. I love to hear people laugh.
  6. I want to live to show people hope.
  7. My love languages are definitely quality time, and words of affirmation.
  8. I will learn to surf.
  9. One time I caught a lizard by the tail, and it fell off. I cried for about 2 hours. Then my mom told me they grew back, and I got over it.
  10. I love chick flicks, nail polish, big earrings, and chocolate… Yes, I am girly.
  11. I usually have a list of about 5 or more books that I’m wanting to read.
  12. The longer you know me, the more sassy I become.
  13. I love to sing and dance. Mainly in my car. Yeah, I’m that girl.
  14. I make really weird noises a lot.
  15. Put me on a beach and I will be happy forever.
  16. I don’t know my blood type. When asked I say, “…the red one…?”
  17. You don’t want to talk to me in the morning. It can get ugly.
  18. If I could be an animal, I would be a dolphin. I’m secretly jealous of them. I guess not so secretly anymore…
  19. I lost a math bee in 2nd grade because I was too nervous to use the buzzer. What… those things are intimidating.
  20. I’m going to 11 countries in 11 months to tell people about the love of my savior, and I could not be more excited!!
