There is a lot that has happened since my last blog, but when I try to put them into words I get stuck. So much good, and some not so good.
Friday night I went running with Kevin around our squad praying for about two hours, my legs have hurt so bad that I’ve had to waddle everywhere like a duck until Ally rolled a water bottle and messaged my legs out. It hurt more than anything than I remember. I thought it was crazy something so small could hurt that much. I think I might be coming down with a cold too. That’s all for the not so good
So for the good… I’M IN KENYA! We arrived early yesterday morning, there was a bit of miscommunication with our Kenyan contact so we chilled yesterday, did some cultural debriefing today and when we got done CLEO CAME! He gave us a tour of Nairobi for four hours and taught us that Kenyans think differently than Americans, how to cross the road, how to buy things and how to get where we need to go. I’ve missed Cleo so very much, God is good, at first I had no idea where in Kenya we were going to be, then I heard we would be in Nairobi for the first two days, and now we are going to be about a five minute drive from him the whole month =]
After dealing with the sore throat for a bit our team came together to see how we were doing and it turned into an awesome time of opening up to eachother, I have a deeper love for them after hearing their heart.
God is good.
