Cameron spending time with Jesus
San Juan is one crazy loud place full of music and hospitality; although
don´t be mislead because that´s expected and you can get taken advantage of when you don´t speak their language. Kind of like how we
Americans expect everyone to know our language. Me and my team are working in the slums of a place called Wachuptia, which used to be the nicest part of San Juan until the hurrican hit 10 years ago in 1998. Food is diferent and sketchy sometimes if you´re not used to eating grease. Anything with lime in it is as shure sign that it´s safe to eat. It´s typically 85-90 degress here and the view of the susnest are amazing from the roof of the guy´s apartment. Like the best sunsets I´ve ever seen.
Culture is pretty different, children are exposed to sex at such a young age and experience abuse and hunger to extreme degrees most of the time. If a child comes and asks me for money, its because if they don´t come home with money than their parents will beat the tar out of em´¨. The men in the Dominican love white girls, so us guys are always protecting them and watching them and praying over them. Sometimes its hard to show love when you´re always on the defense ready to go crazy on somebody, but after I sureendered all our girls to God, He gave me the assurance that His´ daughters are better off in His hands than they ever were in mine! Nevertheless, God has put the ladies on the Men´s hearts and we will show God´s love whenever or wherever to whoever God allows us or directs us to, but we will protect those we love fiercely. God is working in all of us differently, so its a step of faith and trust in God to be patient with one another as a team and also our entire squad. I´m out of time but I love you all and ask for your prayers:
– Team unity
– The Holy Spirit is invited by us all and carried with us
– Discipline to take the time to put on the full Armor of God
– Health
– God´s plan would be fulfilled to the fullest
I PRAY:
– that you would be bold and confident in calling the Holy Spirit upon you
– Give God full permission to come into your heart
