I realize I haven’t posted anything recently about where we are now on the race or what we’ve been doing, so I thought I’d just post an update and some pictures about where we are.  We left Panama after two weeks of prayer walking around different areas and helping out with a Mandarin class for Panamanian Chinese students.

We are now in Granada,  Nicaragua and have spent the past week doing a medical clinic and VBS with a short-term team from the States and some amazing AIM contacts here. Granada is the second oldest city in the Americas and is just beautiful, but along with much of Nicaragua, faces high poverty and one of the highest rates of drug and alcohol use in Central America. Working in the medical clinic, going into the nearby barrios, and teaching children about the hope of Christ have been one of my highlights of our time in Central America so far.

Next week, our team will travel to the other end of Nicaragua to Puerto Cabezas to aid in disaster relief from a tropical storm which hit last year.

Please continue praying for me and my team, along with the people of Nicaragua! We have 33 days left until we are back in the States, which I’m sure will fly by. I know God has more in store in the ministries here, along with the work He wants to do in our team, but pray that I would be open to what He wants me to say and do, and not focus on my return home! Thank you for your faithful prayers!

When’s it my turn?

Wouldn’t I love
Love to explore that shore up above
Out of the sea
Wish I could be
Part of that world
