For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been working in Boston for the past two and half years at MaPS, a Market Research Consulting firm. This is an exciting and intense job where I spend my days designing surveys, analyzing data, creating reports, and talking on the phone with my Fortune 500 clients. I could not have asked for a better job right out of college. I have learned so much and met some of the best people and professional mentors.

As great as my job has been I knew it was time to make a transition from Boston. I was pretty sure that my next step was to move home to Indiana and go back to MBA school, but God had other plans. I first heard about the World Race in 2008 when two of my former Eagle Lake Camp counselor were World Racers. At the time, I thought it was so cool and would be amazing to do that one day. Then recently, I saw that my friend was doing the World Race and so I decided I would visit the website. Before visiting the website, I mentally set conditions for myself as to what it would take for me to really consider doing it. As I researched, somewhat unsurprisingly God met each of my conditions.

As excited as I was at the idea of moving home to Indiana, I could feel God calling me to do something outside of my comfort zone. So I took the plunge, applied for the World Race, and here I am preparing for the greatest adventure of my life. I am so excited for the opportunity to serve and share the love of Jesus with people around the world.

I have been reading through Isaiah and this is what I was reading just around the time when I was applying:”Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8.  There is no doubt that this is the path God intended for me.

I am so looking forward to having all of you along with me for the journey! I am eternally grateful for your support.

Sending My Love,

Cal
