Greetings my dear friends, family, and supporters… It's been a wonderful whirlwind the past few weeks since arriving home from Uganda. I've been eager to share with you about our work and time spent in Budaka at Cornerstone. Now that I can happily report I'm alive and well again, healthy and clear of all parasites, I'll be sharing some small moments, stories, pictures and videos with you via this blog throughout the next week!

Starting at the beginning, after 36 + hours of travel, including a police stop and bribe to get away with in the first hour of being on Ugandan soil, we arrived at the orphanage to receive the wonderful welcoming you see below. Song and dance are big part of their cutlure. So naturally they share with us their excitement of our coming through putting on a little show for us! 🙂 Here are some pics and a video from our first hour upon arriving in the beautiful little village of Budaka, one of my favorite places on earth!

Still at the Entebe airport, happy to see these two again! Laurie, Abby, & I

Left: Emily and I as soon as we got out of the car and could spy the kiddos!
Right: Just two of the signs that the kids made and posted for us all over the orhpanage and house we stayed in.

The boys on the drums.  Natasha doing a move!  The gang sinigng and clapping away.

Helen  (oprhan), Priscilla (boarder), David (orhpan), & Margret (boarder)
doing their native dance.

David – Having fun showing us his moves 😉

More of the same 4 dancing while the remaining make the music clapping and singing in the background

After they finished their songs and dance, they all got into lines to greet us …

Here's a short clip from my iphone as we got out of car and were walking into their welcoming us.
