Greetings my beloved friends and family!

A week from today, after 30 something hours of travel, I will have settled in next to these precious little faces that you see above! It’s been an amazing journey to see how God has orchestrated this mission and woven all the pieces together. For those of you asking, and waiting to hear more, here is a little update, info on how you can help, and some more insight to what my purpose and time in Budaka will look like….

As many of you may remember, in August 2010, I was in Budaka for a short stay with Laurie & her ministry partner Roger’s family (see BUDAKA blog to the left for more). While there I got to meet the amazing kids of Cornerstone and see the incredible works God is doing through this ministry.  In just 2 ½ years, the church has grown to 250 people, the orphanage has 30 children, and the school serves 210 children from around the villages.

Now, two years later, I am headed back to help out in their constantly growing school! I am humbled and excited to be a part of an incredible team led by Ann Roth (AKA my super Auntie Ann)!  I will be working with my teammate Glen (a local Hillsboro principle), doing teacher trainings each afternoon on classroom management, lesson planning and critical thinking skills. We will also be teaching short lessons to the children about our culture, during their morning classes. On top of that, all of us will get to engage and pour into the kids at the orphanage each evening, giving them the one on one time and love they desperately need.

I am excited to be able to serve in this way  and am looking forward to the work the Lord will during our time together. I will be off the grid once I leave the country on the 8th, as I am not taking a computer or phone, so I will be eager to share stories and pictures with you upon returning home October 23rd.

Ways you can help and participate:

Prayer Support-
I would be so blessed and encouragd  by you joining me on this journey through prayer; prayer for safety, God’s provision, our health, the people of Budaka, and that we are effective in completing our mission and purpose in this journey we are making. Ultimately, that HE would be glorified in all we're after and doing!

Financial Donation– I'm in need of $200 more financial support If you feel led to give,  give me a call 541-954-0097 or shoot me an e-mail [email protected] and we'll chat!
