I have a joke:  What has two thumbs, looks nice in gym clothes, hangs out with 8th graders, and leaves for New Zealand in 19 days?…

THIS GUY!

Yes I had to have a kid take a picture of me. AWKWARD

Hey everyone!

I am on brake at work, so I thought I would fill you all in on my fundraising, work life, ministry life, and prayer requests.

Fundraising: and the verdict is…YOU GUYS ARE GREAT.   Thank you so much for any prayers and any donation. It is so humbling to see God working every day by bringing the money needed in.

Because of your kindness, I am past the point to go on the trip, and have raised

$11,194 of my $15,000! THAT IS 75% of the way there!!!    check out my fundraising pie!

I am only missing two pieces of the fundraising pie!!! And I love pie, so I am sure it will come in!

If you still want to get in on a piece of this pie and want to donate,
you can simply click on the left side on the support me button,
and that will direct you towards my donation site.

But once again THANK YOU SO MUCH. You guys are so generous; and I am honored to be connected with you all.

Work: I am a substitute teacher at my middle school alma mater Barre Town Elementary School. This is the school I went to 10 years ago, and so it is weird now calling all my teachers by their first name.

I love my job. I teach kids life lessons, laugh a lot, and skip lunch to play kickball.

Ministry: God has totally blessed my time being back here in Vermont.

I have a great church where I get solid sermons every Sunday, and love getting hugs from all the old ladies.

Sunday afternoons are CRAZY. I usually surprise my mom by inviting people over for lunch, eat awesome food, then leave for 4:15, a high school guy’s bible study I teach. It is so cool. They come to youth group 45 minutes early to just have God time with their fellow brothers. This is probably the most incredible thing of the whole summer. God has really blessed me with a great bunch of guys to just invest into and learn from through their questions and thoughts.

Youth group starts right after Bible study, and I love it. I get to help out with music, sometimes lead the message, and always dominate the kids in the games. (only sometimes. okay I usually start laughing and loose faster than everyone else. but I try hard)

So all in all Vermont life is going pretty well.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

I am leaving so soon. Please pray over me in these areas as I am getting the excited sweats about my trip =)

Funding. I would love to be fully funded before I leave so I wouldn’t have to worry about it on the field. But I know God is in control, I either way I don’t have to worry.

Closure. It is not good bye, but it is see you later for a year. Please pray for solid quality time with friends and family.  I have already had to say goodbye to my best friends down in Philly, so it is weird saying goodbye to people over and over.

Team 12:18. Please pray for my team. We are getting excited and are so ready to be reunited and serve God, but we are more than a 6 person team. Your prayes and encouragement keep us going. So thanks for watching over us.

Thank you all once again.

God bless,

Caleb the former Construction Worker.  (praise the Lord that job is over)   =)
