Dear Friends and Family,

Hi. My name is Caleb Dufresne, and my journey began 22 years ago when I was born and raised in the Barre Evangelical Free Church. I spent years in the youth group, worked five summers at Camp Good News, studied a year at Wisconsin Wilderness Bible School, and completed my college career at Philadelphia Biblical University. I share my past with you so that you might understand where I have been, and also to invite you to join into the global adventure God has laid before me.

This adventure is with the agency, Adventures In Missions, a one-year missions trip that focuses on sharing God’s love with people all around the world, all while growing in my faith as I serve others. My team will consist of 6-8 young adults and leaves January 1st. Our goal is simply to serve however possible. We will be sharing the gospel, helping native churches, leading programs for kids, discipling others, and most importantly, allowing God to use us as HE chooses for global advancement for His kingdom! We journey through New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Kenya, Uganda, Romania, and Ukraine! We also have two pioneering prayer months where there are no formal plans; we will just serve as God leads us! Totally living by faith, totally radical, and totally awesome!

Friends, I cannot do this alone and need your help. I am learning just how hard it is to fully trust in God, and I need to be covered in prayer. Please pray for strength, boldness, and trust. Pray that I might be an obedient disciple of Christ who lives by faith, and not by sight. I also need financial support. I almost feel guilty asking for money for a missions trip that I am sure will be one of the most radical things that God has done in my life, but then I realized that this isn’t my trip; it is God’s. Anyone and everyone can be a part of His trip through their prayers, and through their support. I would be honored to receive your prayers and would be equally blessed with financial support. I need to raise 15,000 dollars, all of which goes to the mission.  It covers all of my expenses while on the field, airfare, insurance, shots, passport and visas costs.    I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, which enables you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions. Please include the enclosed card which will provide AIM with all the necessary information. In turn, they will send you a receipt. They request that you send all donations as soon as possible as I leave in January.

Adventures In Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501©  (3) non-profit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lay completely at the discretion of Adventures in Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible; please consult a tax advisor.

I would be lying if I didn’t say that I am 100% scared, and 100% excited. There is a reason we are supposed to fear the Lord; it’s not to cripple us, but to encourage us because HE is in control. So please pray for me to rest in His will, look to Him for strength, and that I won’t get killed because I do something stupid. It would be much sweeter to get killed for preaching the gospel than by not looking both ways while crossing a river and getting eaten by a hippo.    =)

      In Christ’s love
