Happy Birthday Dad!
My Dad taught me about working hard in all I do. He showed me how to drive well – though I beat my whole family in best accident. He makes good spaghetti with garlic bread – my favorite meal. He loves his family and it’s the quality time with him I enjoy the most. His strong and quiet side has rubbed off on me. But he also has his sense of humor. He likes to laugh and I love to see his smile. It’s a strange sense of humor. After I fractured my skull when I was 5 the doctors had to shave a spot to put the stitches in. He proudly called me “Baldy” for about the next 10 years. How affectionate. I love when he laughs. He shares his love through teasing and games. Dad wanted to take the fart machine his brother-in-law got him for Christmas to my brother’s wedding. He likes jokes and playing around. Even though I’m pretty sure Dad’ll try to scare my future husband instead of making him laugh, he’s still fun to have around.
I know he cares. I know he would fight for me. He’s my dad and I wouldn’t ask for any other. He supports and believes in my dreams and talents even when he doesn’t understand all of them. That’s a part of why I’m out here.
To those who have been praying for me while I’ve been away I thank you for also thinking and praying for my family. Please continue. They are all precious and dear to me. They are the ones who’ve helped me become who I am today. Their belief gets mixed with their love and enables me to soar higher than I can imagine.
Thanks for making me laugh. Thanks for everything, Dad. Love you!
Check this out Dad (and everyone else) this should make you laugh…
