Hello! It’s been a busy month for our team! Busy, but good. We started off in Monkey Bay for our month one debrief. It was so beautiful there and it was incredible to spend time as a squad worshipping and reflecting on our first month.

Now we are serving in a village in Lilongwe with some local pastors and church members! Our days are fairly consistent. We normally start off with door-to-door evangelism in the morning and in the afternoon do either children’s or youth ministry. During the beginning of our time here a lot of us hit a low point and we think there was a lot of spiritual warfare going on, it provided a really cool opportunity for us to come together as a team in prayer and actively pray against any spiritual attacks happening. We noticed a difference almost immediately after coming together in prayer. I really love doing youth ministry here, they aren’t afraid to ask hard questions and their energy is contagious! On Sundays we are preaching, teaching, or leading Sunday school. And yes, there is a difference between preaching and teaching. Teaching involves asking them questions and discussing their answers, and preaching isn’t as interactive.
This past weekend we went hiking in Dedza. The views from the mountain we climbed were incredible! Everything is so green and lush here. And on the way back to Lilongwe God painted one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. It was breathtaking!
We only have one more week here in Lilongwe before we head back to Monkey Bay for an event called Ibada Africa. It will be our entire squad and another squad that is currently in Malawi. I’m excited to head back to Monkey Bay and spend some time praising the work God is doing here in Africa!

This verse has been on my heart this week and it is my prayer this month that I would be overwhelmed by God’s love for me!
