Have you ever met someone in your life that impacts you so deeply that you are changed forever? Someone who you share time and space with that makes you want to be a better person? For me one of those impactful people in my life is Stacy Kirch.
I met Stacy in 2005 at Orange Coast College because she is the athletic academic advisor there. She quickly became so much more to me then an advisor and is now someone that will be in my life for the rest of my life. Her wise soul exudes positivity and light as she speaks life into everyone she meets. Stacy walked with me through a really rough season in my life with a supernatural love I am convinced can only come from God within her. I can honestly say that I would not be the person I am today without her influence in my life. She calls out the greatness in people and challenges to walk with infinite possibility. Spending time and space with Stacy is always a refreshing breath of fresh air because of the light that is inside of her. Stacy is an incredible and inspirational mother, friend, counselor, writer, and dreamer.
I share this with you because once again Stacy continues to be an amazing support of me. On June 6 Stacy will be running a marathon in my name to help raise money and support for the world race. In the spirit of one of her favorite quotations by Les Brown, “Help others achieve their dreams and you will achieve yours,� she wanted a bigger purpose and goal to help her finish the 26.2 miles on Sunday. I am blown away to not only her desire to get involved in global justice issues, but to once again be an amazing support of my life and growth. Stacy is not only continuing to make an impact in my life, but through getting involved she is impacting people all over the world this year.
Please join me in praying for Stacy on Sunday June 6 at 6:45 am (California Time) Pray for energy, perseverance, encouragement, rejuvenation, and continual joy as she runs. Pray also that her body would recover quickly. More than anything I am amazed how God brings us together. That an amazing woman of God running a marathon in California can be a huge encouragement and support of someone loving people across the world. It is truly beautiful how God knits the body of Christ together. Stacy, Thank you for being a part of my life, this journey, and thank you for your choice to MAKE AN IMPACT all over this world!
