change of plans instead of traveling around the mountains my team is staying in San Juan. We are staying in a four bedroom house with 46 other people from our squad. My team is working in quiqueta one of the slums in town. We are working in the church doing different things mainly focusing on home visits, encouraging new believers, and working with the kids. I am super excited that we are working with kids. I have always had a heart for children, but God has increased my love for the kids of the Dominican Republic.
As far as day to day life here its been a rollercoaster but mostly good things. A lot of adjusting and learning to rely on the community around me. Its hard for me at times, but God has blessed with amazing support here and you guys back home.There is so much need here and my heart breaks for the kids of this city everyday, but it is also a blessing to spend time loving on the future generation. God has really been speaking to me about the need to build up the next generation and that these kids we minister to are the future of the Dominican. Please pray with me for the kids here that we will be spending every day with. A lot of these kids have parents, but they are not around for whatever reason. Please pray that they would rely on God as father.
