Peru has been the month of moving. My team and I have lived a serious nomad lifestyle, moving from city to city all month long. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in Peru and wanted to share a little about what out life has been like this month.

1. Lima

This is where my team arrived after a 30 something hour travel from La Paz, Bolivia. We arrived at the bus stop to find out that our host was expecting us two days later and was not there to pick us up. No worries, there was a KFC next door and so we ate some fried chicken and French fries.

2. Carabayllo

We arrived at the main church to meet the Pastors and those that will be traveling with us. We also go to meet our translator or the month, Cami. She’s awesome by the way!

3. Yangus

We drove another 1.5 hrs. to the church’s retreat camp. It’s a camp ground for church events, camps, and other retreats. We were given a couple days to recoup from our long journey. Then our days were filled with visitations to invite people to come to our children’s program.

4. Leticia

The nights consisted of a children’s program where we did songs, skits, games, and presented the gospel. The church had just started and we were the beginning service for the children’s ministry.

5. Cajamarca

After a week of staying put, Crisco Unico was on the move again. We hopped on an overnight bus and drove to the mountains, 15 hrs. away to Cajamarca. I loved this city. It was surrounded by mountains, they had cobblestone streets, little stores, and very friendly people. We all lived in a big hotel room, with our own single beds and there was hot water in the shower. Life is good!

We partnered with a church in Cajamarca that held several Sunday Schools throughout the region. At these Sunday Schools we did skits, sang songs, played games, and presented the gospel. Read HERE for my blog on more specifics on the ministry.

The following cities are where we did visitations and children’s programs.

6. Puyucana

7. La Ratoma

8. Tar Tar

9. Chamis

10. Pompa Coosco

11. Another City I forgot the name

Now our team is back in Caraballyo, working with Valle del Jordan Church. We have done visitations & services all week for Santa Semana. I have enjoyed my time here thus far in Peru. The ministry contacts have been wonderful and we have met some of the nicest people from the church and the city. We are blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve them and have them serve us as well.

To top the month off, our host arranged for us to spend a couple days at the beach.
