I am in Nepal at this very moment. In a house with no heat. Where water is freezing. Having limited clothes.
An average day looks like this:
Weather: 59*F
Clothes: underarmor, tshirt, sweater or jacket (one is in the wash so you can't double up), leggings, kapries, ankle socks, and a beanie.
Electricity: limited. Solar powered so no sun equals no power. No power between the hours of 4pm-7pm.
Bathroom: western toilet inside, squatty outside. Boil water for a bucket shower. Can only shower between the hours of 10am-3pm due to the cold.
Living conditions: two bedroom house with 16people.
Job: look up info and create two websites for sex trafficking. Same scenery for 22hrs which means your looking at the walls floors and blankets. You do have Internet.
Food: rice rice rice. Tea and crackers twice a day.
Team time: gather under a blanket for warmth. Laughter. Feedback.
Nights: movie or pillow talk.
…and dont forget 1hr of quite time and 1hr of prayer!
Follow this to the best of your ability.
I would love it if you share what you experienced!
Knowing this is only for a month helps but the fact that we are a 5min walk from a 5 star resort does not.
I am still in need of money to continue helping and serving others so if you do this please consider giving a donation… You will be saving money on electricity! 😀
Thank you Laura for this idea!
