This day started off rather early… At least for me… 7:40am.

I grabbed a cup of coffee and brushed my teeth before heading to the small village outside of town.

When we showed up we had split into two different teams. On my team was Ryan, Tim our contact, and two other ladies one of which lives in Cambodia.

We were told we were going around talking to different families… And that we might be asked for our testimony.

After hearing testimony, I pondered on what I would say. Would I say part or all of the it? I had just had a talk with my last team leader Tommy on this subject and thought "bold Brooke be bold."

As we were walking along I told myself that I would tell my full testimony BUT I also had thought "well Ryan is great at talking, I'll just sit back today."

We approached our first lady. She was a shoe maker. Tim was the only one who said much of anything but then again I haven't a clue what was said due to the lack of translation.

As we started walking again the kids hung on us and spoke the English they could… Name, how are you, how old are you. We then waved bye so that we could catch up to Tim and the rest of our group.

We stopped at a house and Ryan was distracted by a kid so the Cambodian lady asked which one of us would like to play and which one would like to go talk.

I turned toward ryan and started asking him the question but then stopped and told him I was going to go talk and he could stay and play.

It was awkward at first but the conversation got moving a little bit.

It was a married couple, another shoe maker, the lady, and Tim joined a little later. They sung a few songs in their language so I just smilied and clapped.

Suddenly I was asked if I had something to say.

Being on the race a couple of months I should have had something prepared just in case.

I replied "no, but I can give my testimony."

Neither of them minded and so I went a head and told my full testimony.

I was on top of the world!

After my testimony, they continued on with their bible lessons that they had been doing every week. It was very well structured.

This was the last house we went to so we headed back to the school house/garage. Played with the kids. Left to get huge logs. And played some more.

It was about 12 when we went to get lunch at the factory workers food market.

The food was great! The tea was great! The food was spicy so I needed more tea! When I opened the lid to get tea, I saw a melted block of ice. The ice we aren't suppose to use.

Whoops!

Sadly, I had already drank a whole glass so what's one more!?

A little while later, I turned around and saw something amazing… Men sliding huge blocks of ice off the bed of a tractor!

"BAHAHA!" yea that's all I could do was laugh. I turned toward Anna who saw the same thing and we both prayed over the ice and our health!

After lunch we headed back to the school house/garage and played until the parents came.

The parents had a meeting where they played games and then asked for prayer.

For the prayer the split us up into different groups.

I was with about 6-8 parents. They all went around and shared what they needed prayer for.

I remember saying in my head "God, there is no way I can remember all their prayers, I need you."

Prayer started off as everyone was just praying together. Then I went ahead and prayed for everyone while having the translator translate. It was an awesome experience! God really came through for me.

This whole day of ministry was amazing!

I did so many new things. Things I wouldn't have done in month one. It is a great reminder that I am growing each and every day!
