Training camp was such a roller coaster!!!

I just spent the last week in Gainsville, GA. In those 7 days I was not only challenged spiritually, but also physically and emotionally.

Everything from hour-long worship sessions, to late night one-on-one talks about Jesus with a friend, I spent more time pursuing Jesus and recognizing His unconditional love for me than I ever have before. This was incredible! I was absolutely blown away by the sense of community built in such a short amount of time!

I went into this week thinking that I would be just fine camping out each night in my tent, but little did I know that they would challenge us. For example having all of our belongings (including sleeping stuff, as well as clothes and toiletries) “lost” for a day and a half. During this time, I slept in a tiny tent with a girl I had just met, I brushed my teeth with my finger, and wore the same sweaty clothes two days in a row. Boy, it was a struggle.

This week made the next nine months of my life seem much more real.

I’m not going on a mission trip; I am becoming a missionary.

I’m not visiting three different countries; I’ll be doing life there.

The six girls on my team are not my teammates; they will be my family!

At the end of the week they let us know where we will be spending these next nine months! The title of this blog is the answer to that question 🙂

These wonderful ladies above ^ will be my family this year! I love each of them dearly!

I am so excited for this next adventure in my life!

But for the next five weeks until I leave, I am going to soak up every possible moment with my family and friends!
