Sunday, Day 3: Scavenger Hunt.

Goal: Venture around the city and complete tasks on the paper.

Our way to one of the temples during our scavenger I saw two young women from a distance. All of the sudden, loud and clear, I heard “pray for them”. Usually when I hear something like that, its not loud and I doubt myself whether or not its my own words or His. It was his. I felt like God got on a microphone, did a mic check then spoke, that’s how loud it was so I knew I couldn’t ignore that.

“Hi, I am so sorry if this is weird but I just felt like I needed to pray for you guys. I know its weird haha but yeah..” Me: standing in awkward silence waiting for a reply. The conversation continued with introducning our names, asking where each other are from trying to establish some sort of relationship before I would pray for them. Then I asked the famous question “Is there something you need prayer for?” They thought for minute, then told me yes and needed prayer for their family. God was using someone who has so many ups and downs with family to pray with two people about their family, none less the two women were mother and daughter!

So many thoughts ran through my head as I began praying. When it was all done, we chatted for a few more minutes then sent them on their way. This was the highlight of my week so far. I love seeing how God can use anyone for anything and when we are obedient and answer the call of what he asks of us, whether he’s super clear and loud on a microphone, or you cant figure out it’s hsi voice or not but you know you need to do it, a lot is revealed to us and why he chose us to be the ones to go and do whatever it might be.

The final thought I walked away was my mom and I will travel the world some day together just like this mom and daughter are currently doing. Sometimes our prayers for others end up being our own desires that God wants to align Through someone else’s journey.

I am remained that even though I am on the race, I can still fight for the one thing I want to see the most in my own life and that is family restoration of 100 percent! Thank you to the mom and daughter who let me pray over them even though they didn’t believe. My hope for whreeves you are now in your travels is that you have found Christ and is bringing your sister back into yours and your daughter´s lives.
