“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door. Step onto the road and there’s no telling where you might be swept off to.”   ~The Fellowship of the Rings

Oh, how right dear Bilbo was. When you step onto the road of the World Race you never know where you might end up. I am now entering a new season of the Race life.

For the past four months I have been doing life with the lovely ladies from team ROAR.

We have laughed, cried, argued and grown together. God stretched us and encouraged us. We started out rocky but our team grew. It was slow at times. Sometimes it was leaps and bounds. There were days when it felt as though we were going backwards.  All in all I believe we were truly Renewed On Abba’s River.

This new season started today (the 5th) with the announcement of our new teams. We had all been waiting with anticipation and maybe a little apprehension. As soon as the envelopes were passed out I found a quiet place to “process” and pray over my new team.
I knew that God had chosen this team from the beginning and it would be good. I slowly pulled out the list of my new teammates. Yes, it was a solid group.

So without further ado (and because the bus just arrived), I’d like to introduce you to my new team- The Fellowship (hence the Lord of the Rings quotes).

Of course, our team name is based on a mutual interest in LotR and Acts 2:42
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

I’m thankful for this group and so excited to see what God is going to do as we head to Africa and the next seven months!
