“When you move is when you can see the whole.”
I made it to work really early this morning and since I had time before I had to start my “shift” I decided to sit and watch the sunrise. I honestly don’t remember a time when I actually sat and just took in a sunrise. It was beautiful. As I watched the sun come up over the hills I began to muse over where I am today. My thoughts went back to a moment in high school.
“God,” I asked, “if that hadn’t happened would I be on this road today?”
The answer was comforting.
“Yes, you are my missionary.”
God has a plan for my life, for your life. Whatever happens around us doesn’t change that plan. Maybe that moment in high school hadn’t happened; God would have still led me into missions. He is faithful in His calling!
As for the quote above, when I moved from my position watching the sunrise I realized there was so much more to it than what I was seeing by sitting in one spot. You cannot begin to see God’s whole picture unless you move from the same position you’ve been in. We may never see all of it but just the beginning.
And I`ll follow you into the homes that are broken.
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy god.
Follow you into the world.
