Well, Not really.  The title is about the extent of the Spanish that i have, lol. But seriously, Here's a mini update to my time in Nicaragua.

I’m not going to lie, I was a little afraid of this month.  It’s the first month we would be by ourselves as a team.  The Lord is working through some trust issues I didn’t know where there and I was slightly terrified of the inevitable, lol. It’s crazy how Daddy whispers so gently to us in our times of panic. “You can trust them bc you trust Me.” Sounds simple enough.  Trust is something I thought I had an overabundance of but leave it to the race to reveal that that’s not really the case. I guess it’s kind of a different story to trust your heart to complete strangers.  I think too, maybe I was mistaking transparency for trust. You can tell ppl things u want them to know, a lot of things and still not trust them with the intimate things of your heart. I’m learning a hard lesson but I’m glad Daddy is walking me through this with gentleness and grace.

This month has gone exceptionally well so far.  Our team is growing exponentially and bonding in unity.  Those distant shadowy figures I thought were my teammates are becoming brothers and sisters worthy of my trust. Not that my trust is some type of Holy Grail but I said that bc this process would have taken a lot longer and more trial before I opened up completely. I think maybe the Lord is preparing me to trust freely those that He’s placed in my path for various reasons. Hold on a sec…that last sentence still shakes me a little.  Hopefully by the end of this, I won’t twitch twice, lol.

I’m really excited to see what the Lord does through us this month. We are working with Pastor David and his church.  We’re also tenting in the church and working with various pastors with various construction projects. I preached my first official sermon yesterday! For those that know me, know that I had to use the word official bc we always end up discussing some type of passage in our spare time. (I miss that *homesick moment*) We will be evangelizing door to door sometime this month, children’s church, teaching, baseball games and basketball 3 on 3’s.  Of which I finally got back out there for the first time in YEARS! Yep, I still got it. Well, at least a piece of it, HA!

So this is all I’ve got for the first 5 days of ministry. More will come. Oh yeah, we’ll have to paint pictures with words this month, my camera broke. Sad day.

Fundraising Update:  I am responsible for 11k of fundraising by October 1st.  I currently have a little over 7k.  I love what the Lord is doing on the journey and I would love to stay.  If you would like to donate or if you know of those who have a special place in their heart for missionaries and would love to hear more about my journey, let me know. I'd love to meet with them.  To date click in the left menu on the "Support Me" tab.  Thanks a lot 🙂
