Like a flower, rising its delicate
pedals upwards towards the sun,
the Father has drawn my eyes up to him.
I stand, relishing in His delight over me.
Soaking in the abundance of His love.
Like a big willow tree,
He has planted me in this season,
watering me with life,
deepening my roots in Him.
He’s teaching the long branches to be wild and free.
Free to gracefully bend wherever he directs His mighty wind.
Wild enough to take risks, courageously.
Like a wild field, right before the dawn.
Everything is there, everything is alive,
but everything is asleep.
Then, just as the rising sun bursts forth,
with brilliant light, blazing colors.
My beloved has awakened my soul,
His warmth is slow, and compassionate,
to the very depths of me.
Allowing me to dance in His presence.
Utterly lost under the look of love He gives.
I’m holding His hand, pulling Him behind me.
Running faster then ever before,
both of us lost in laughter.
Only going where he directs.
