Well, last week on March 1, I turned 30.  Now I thought this would not be that big of a deal.  I am not usually one to care to much about my age.  However, strangely, it was a big deal.

Right now, in my life I am at a weird place.  As you know I just got home from the World Race. I live with my sister and 2 nephews, where I sleep in the play room.  Before the race I had my own place, which has been on the market for over  a year with no offers.  Another reason it wasn’t the best bday, I am trying to work with my mortgage company.  Also I had a car and now, no car.
Ok, so I made this list really just to say, WHO CARES!!  I made my own birthday week not good by keeping my focus on all these things, all these worldly things.  Things that God does not really care about therefore they are things I should not be so worried about.  Somehow, I let the world tell me what is important instead of letting Gods word show me what’s really important and focus on the many blessings in my life.  Such as, I went all around the world to share Gods love. I have a job and am able to make money.  I have food and a roof over my head.  A friend is letting me use their extra car until I leave for Spain in July.  I get to go to Spain in July!!  I get to be educated in the Word by amazing people.
Did I mention AMAZING friends and family??

God has a plan for my life, now only if I can stay focused on that and not let the world get in my way.
Are you focused on God?? Or the world??

1 Peter 2:9-12 (The Message)

9-10But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you-from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

11-12Friends, this world is not your home, so don’t make yourselves cozy in it. Don’t indulge your ego at the expense of your soul. Live an exemplary life among the natives so that your actions will refute their prejudices. Then they’ll be won over to God’s side and be there to join in the celebration when he arrives.
