most African countries when the people think of America they only see
what is on TV. So
are. The difference in life style is definitely dramatic. Where we
as Americans don’t truly hurt for much and don’t really know what
it’s like to have hunger pains from starving or what it’s like to
live in a house with no water and no electricity. That’s how a
vast majority of the people here in Bungoma live.
past Sunday we visited a church here and like most of the churches we
have visited it’s
microphones or any type of instruments. This one was probably the
smallest and poorest of the ones had visited. It also was the most
loving and caring church we visited. At the end of the service they
took an offering as most churches do but after that they took a love
offering for us. Wow!! Amazing! These people had very little and
still wanted to be a blessing to us for coming in a place where most
people ask us for stuff, these people were humbly giving of the
little they had.
me it was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. I thought
about myself and
always have to be with money but with time, with kindness, with
encouragement. How much am I holding back from the people around me.
Things that are not mine in the first place, things that God has
clearly called me to do in the bible. Things that a tiny church in
Bungoma, Kenya taught me about.
who are rich should give richly.
are you rich in??? Love? Money? Grace? Encouragement?
