Mzungu! Mzungu!

These are the words I hear everyday as I walk down the street in Bungoma, Kenya.  Which translated means white person.  It’s usually said by the sweetest little kids you have ever seen.  And followed by “how are you?”  Just one of the many reasons I love Africa.  The people here are so AMAZING!!
While walking down the street the kids run to us just to be able to hold our hand and walk with us.  They are just satisfied to stand with you and hold your hand.  No words have to be spoken and for some they are so young they wouldn’t know what you are saying anyway.  Just that touch of love means so much and not just to them but to me.
We are in a small town about thirty minutes away from Uganda.  We are doing many different types of ministry here including visiting schools, hospitals, churches and peoples homes.  I love the variety and being able to meet and pray with many different people here in town.  The home visits are probably one of my favorite things.  We get to sit down with people and get to know them a little bit.  We get to encourage and pray for those who are already Christians and we get to share the Gospel with those who don’t know Christ.  We have been here in Bungoma for only 1 ½ weeks so far and have seen many people be led to Christ.  It’s amazing what God will do through those who answer His call.  It’s such a blessing to be used by God and to watch my teammates be used in that way too.
