I just want to tell a couple stories about Gods awesomeness. How He is in control in everything and if you can live your life knowing that everything that happens has a purpose and everyone you encounter could be a DIVINE APPOINTMENT we would all be on guard.
After we left the jungle we went to Kuala Lumpur to work with Pastor Hong. We did evangelism in the city, which was a little tough for some of us. Just not being sure what all we can share without possibly getting in trouble. However, Christine and John are both great at sharing. They started a conversation with a lady who just so happened to speak the same type of Chinese as Christine and grew up with the same kind of background. Christine was able to share the Gospel with her and while she didn’t accept Christ that day, Christine definitely planted seeds. (DIVINE APPOINTMENT #1)
In Kuala Lumpur
We were leaving the church in Kuala Lumpur and heading over to meet the other teams to present what we had been doing for the month so we needed 2 taxis for all of us and all our luggage. We called and asked 2 to come pick us up. Well we waited and waited and no taxis came. So we then started just trying to flag down taxis, no one would stop and there were probably 10 taxis just down the street getting their car washed or the oil changed and none of them wanted to take us. Ok God, what is going on?? All these taxis and no ride. Then a man who lived nearby tried to help us get one and still no luck so eventually he ended up taking us to the bus station, there we finally got a taxi. There we finally got a taxi. We get in so happy to have a ride and start some small talk with the driver. At one point the talked his wife who has been sick and how he thinks God that she isn’t getting worse. Yes an opening. Then John proceeds to ask him about God and if he thinks he will go to heaven, like a lot of peoples beliefs everywhere, he said “he didn’t know because he was naughty when he was younger.” Then we got distracted trying to figure out where we were going but once we got there John felt God calling him to share with this man. Me and Emily got out while John stayed in the car with him and shared the Gospel. Satan tried everything to keep this from happening. The mans cell phone was going off like crazy and at one point during their prayer for him to accept Christ a man on a motorcycle hit the car. Really satan?? But God was in complete control there and he just continued praying. That day God brought one of His sheep into His fold. (DIVINE APPOINTMENT #2)
God has been rocking this month and really teaching me and the team to constantly be on guard because where you are in every second of the day is no accident. So watch for those opportunities to share His love, that’s our calling.
