On Wednesdays and Fridays our team goes
into the community to do home visits. We go to individuals homes and
get to know them and ask if we can pray for them. Today we went
around 10:00 am and we were talking with a small group of women who
were sitting outside. Linda, Ann and Mercy were telling us about the
typhoon and showing us how far the water came up on their houses.
After we talked for a while we asked if there were any prayer
requests. They asked for good health and for their husbands to find
jobs and then Mercy spoke and her only request was for us to pray
that she would get into heaven. We asked her if she knew how to get
into heaven and her answer was “be good.” Then we shared with
her that it’s not about being good it’s about asking Jesus into your
heart and having a relationship with Him. I explained that she is a
daughter of God and He loves her no matter what. She asked if we
could pray with her to ask Jesus into her heart so I prayed with her
and then through a translator had her ask Jesus to come into her
heart. During this time she was crying but afterwards still with
tears in her eyes we could see joy all over her face. She is an
amazing woman and I know God was moving in her today.
Please pray with me that she continues
to seek after God and all that He wants for her. We will go back
tomorrow and bring her a bible. We are also doing a bible study
there in the community all month so we will have time to continue to
encourage her in her new found freedom.
Thank You
Much Love
All of us lived among them at one time,
gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its
desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of
wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in
MERCY, made us alive in Christ even when we were dead in
transgressions-it is by GRACE you have been saved. Ephesians 2:3-5

Me and Mercy!! 🙂
